Get Started With Blogging ...

From my perspective everyone who wants to start blogging has an INTERSTING topic to tell the world about ...

The definition of blogging from Wikipedia states:
... Blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog)

I define blogging as a way to express yourself to the world and show the world yourself in a way that makes you feel good.

The definition aside and getting back to the topic of why I created this blog, I will be showing you how to put together a blog with all the essential components of a blog the FREE and EASY way in the series of articles to come.

In this article I will identify some free Blog Spaces to get you started with blogging.

The very first step that you need to take is to identify what Blogging platform you want to work with.

There are many freely available Blogging Software available that you can choose from.

Some of these are:
Blogger.com - Click here to go to Blogger .
Opera Community allows users to create their own Blog - Click here to visit Opera Community.
Microsoft's Spaces allows you to create blogs - Click here to visit MSN Spaces.
Yahoo's Yahoo 360 Beta allows you to create a blog easily. - Visit Yahoo 360 Beta

(These are some of the top blogging platforms that I have mentioned. There are a lot other's that you can find just by doing a Google search)

With whatever service you select, this is the essential first step that you need to think about:Which service would you like to create a blog on and why?

I personally prefer Blogger as it provides an ease of use for novice users and gets you started quite quickly doing what you actually came to do ... BLOGGING. Blogger also provides Tech Savvy or Power Users more power with advanced settings allowing you to modify the Blogger template to suite your own needs.

Blogger integrates well with some of the free and essential service that anyone would want to have on their blogs (e-mail subscriptions, book marking functionality, Tagging blog posts). I will describe these in future articles to come.

A newbies look at blogging

I decided some time back that I wanted to get started blogging.

In order to take this leap there was a certain amount of research involved as is in any new step that we all take in life.

This blog will show and explain to you things that needed to be done in order to get me started.

I will put up articles on how I go about setting up each aspect of this blog and another blog that I maintain so that it becomes much easier for anyone about to get started blogging to actually take that leap.
